Monday night, we learned that Michael's labs are looking much better, which was great news. Michael had the biopsy first thing on Tuesday morning, after a rough night. Although he had an IV, he had to fast from 2 AM-7:30 AM and that was pretty rough on him because he eats about every 2 and half hours so he was pretty distressed. The procedure went well. He is back to his usual self. We are meeting with the doctor next Tuesday to go over the results. The initial results shows that he has a problem with his bile ducts in the liver that is correctable by taking medicine. This can sometimes be an indicator of other conditions, so he will need to be tested for some other disorders. We'll have more information next Tuesday. Thanks for everyone's well wishes!
Michael is 3 weeks old on Thursday, 9/27 and has already told Dan and me that he wants a blog, so here it is. Today, Michael had a bath and actually seems to not mind it anymore. Like would be a stretch, but we are getting there. He went on a walk around the neighborhood too. Quite the eventful day. Michael was getting some tummy time and rolled over from his tummy to his back today! Dan, Colleen and Michael in the hospital. Michael lounging with Daddy. Strike a pose. Getting some sunlight to get rid of that annoying jaundice!
